  1. Click on Authority to Sit on bottom right
  2. Enter Student Number
  3. Follow the instructions on the page to obtain an outline of your Authority to Sit.
  4. Wait for your Authority to Sit to load.
  5. Check if all the papers you wish to write are correctly stated.
  6. Simultaneous press ctrl and p to pop-up the print screen.
  7. Click print to print a copy.
  8. Click logout to complete the process.

ICAG Holds 27th Graduation and Admission Ceremony

The 27th Graduation and Admission ceremony of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), and the second Graduation and Admission ceremony in the year 2016, has taken place in Accra.

Certificates were awarded to a total of five hundred and thirty-three (533), comprising two hundred and fifty-nine (259) students who have successfully completed the Chartered Accountants (CA) Professional Programme in May, this year; two hundred and eighty-two (282) graduates and members of foreign accountancy bodies who have met the pre- or post-qualification criteria for membership of ICAG; seventy-nine (79) who have successfully completed ICAG’s Post-Chartered Diploma Programme in Forensic Audit and Treasury & Risk Management; and twenty-three (23) who pursued the Accountancy Technician Scheme West Africa Programme.

The 2017 Members Subscription fee is due and payable on the first day of January 2017 (Chartered Accountants Act, 1963, Act 170, 5 (3)). Members who fail to make payment before or on this date are not considered as Members in Good Standing until payment is made. The Fee is GH¢500.

Meanwhile the list of Members in Good Standing shall be published in the print media by the 17th April, 2017.

Members can make payment at any GCB Bank branch network across the country.

The President and Council of ICAG, wishes all members, students and stakeholders, a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. The President is especially grateful to the members, students, management and staff of the Institute for their enthusiasm and diligence throughout the year culminating in a truly successful year of events and activities.
The general public is hereby informed that the Secretariat will be on recess from Monday, 26th December, 2016. Work will resume on Tuesday, 3rd January, 2017.

2017 Student Registration

To register as a student and apply for exemptions, applicants must obtain registration and exemption forms from ICAG Secretariat or the website. Completed forms should be returned to the Secretariat together with registration fee of GH¢120 .00 and subscription of GH¢120.00. Applicants who qualify for admissions and exemptions would be required to pay the applicable registration and exemption fees. An applicant must be at least 16 years and possess any of the following:

SSSCE/GBCE/DBS holders – six (6) passes (A-D) including English and Mathematics.  WASSCE holders six (6) credits including and English and Mathematics, any other qualification acceptable to the Institute.

The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) wishes to inform all current and prospective students of the following points that need to be emphasized and made clear to our cherished students/candidates that:

  1. Students who had completed part 3 of the old syllabus before the advent of the new syllabus were given the opportunity to write the Corporate Strategy, Ethics and Governance with Corporate Reporting, Advanced Audit and Assurance and Taxation and Fiscal Policy in May 2015. This arrangement will continue till the current syllabus is revised.

    Point (2) below notwithstanding, in the interest of smooth candidature progression, a   candidate  under reference in this paragraph, who passed only Corporate Strategy, Ethics and Governance(CSEG) will be given credit for it ( on the basis that this paper is now in level 2).

    However students in the above category who opt to take exemption for paper 2.6 (CSEG) bring themselves under the new scheme where they will have to write all level 3 papers including Advanced Financial Management

  • The old syllabus will become dysfunctional immediately after March 2017 examinations and the revised syllabus will became operational immediately after March 2017 examinations.
  • Students will be examined on the new syllabus in September 2017.

Public Lecture

The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) wishes to invite all members, students and the general public to the public lecture on “Ghana’s Public Debt: Investment or Consumption”. 

The programme is scheduled as follows:
